Magadan Region makes 40.23 tns of gold Jan–Oct, set 40-yr record
MAGADAN, Nov 19 (PRIME) -- The miners of the Magadan Region produced 40.23 tonnes of gold in January–October, setting a record since 1979, the regional government said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Gold miners of the region produced 40.23 tonnes of gold as of November 1, which is 7 tonnes more than in the same period of the last year,” the authority said. Alluvial gold output amounted to 17.36 tonnes as of November 1.
The gold production plan of the region was raised to 40.7 tonnes in 2019, with a later increase to 50 tonnes. Natalka and Pavlik will be the focal points of the growth.
